Dear Communication Arts community,
We are deeply saddened by the news of yet another attack on Asian Americans — this time in Atlanta with the killing of eight individuals, six of whom were Asian women. We recognize these attacks as connected to the surge in anti-Asian racism, gender violence, and other incidents of racially motivated violence we have seen increasing at an alarming rate in the last year. In moments like these our social distance feels particularly painful, because we know that there are members of our community who feel unsafe and frightened and need our support now more than ever. Please know that we are available if you would like to talk or learn more, and that we stand in solidarity with our Asian and Asian American community members.
