On Wednesday, February 18, the Advertising and Communications Career Fair 2015 will be held in Varsity Hall, Union South, from 4:00-7:00pm. All students interested in careers in the fields of media, information, communications, public relations, advertising, marketing, journalism, broadcasting, and more, are invited to attend.
Media, Information & Communication Career Advisor Pam Garcia-Rivera says this career fair is significant because “students interested in the field of communications have an opportunity to speak to a number of representatives related to their specific career interests.” The event has over thirty professional organizations participating. A list of attendees is available on the School of Journalism & Mass Communication website.
The career fair is a student organization-initiated event. Laken Stramara, President of UW-Madison Advertising Club, says “This idea to put on a career fair for students with interests in communications has been on the table for a long time now. It’s so exciting to see it all come together with the help of many student orgs, the School of Journalism, and Department of Communication Arts.”
Join us on Wednesday to seek out summer internships and jobs, network with company representatives, and connect with the sponsoring UW student organizations: Advertising Club, Association for Women in Communications, Communication Arts Student Association, and the Association for Public Relations Student Society of America.
