I am a currently a PhD student in Film in the Department of Communication Arts. I have a MA in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California and a BA in English/Film from Hendrix College in Conway, AR. I am interested in classic and contemporary Hollywood history, genre studies (particularly comedy), auteur studies, and star studies. Outside of academia, I am a voracious lifelong cinephile, with experience in film exhibition and occasional criticism. My studies have taken me all over the US, but my heart will always be in Arkansas, which is where I call home.
