Biography
Troy is an MA/PhD student from South Jersey who is drawn to both film scholarship and production. He graduated from Ithaca College in 2025 with a BFA in Writing for Film, Television & Emerging Media and a minor in History. His research interests include cultural hybridity and diaspora in films, Indian parallel cinema, and national cinemas of the global south. Presently, he wishes to study media representations of Indo-Caribbean, Indo-African, and Indo-Fijian diaspora. On the production side he specializes in screenwriting and has a particular enthusiasm for reading and evaluating screenplays. Through internships in literary management and film development he has reviewed hundreds of film and television scripts from both amateur and professional writers. He is always glad to advise student screenwriters and help them develop their ideas.
