Leslie Dinauer

Executive Director of the Rhetoric Society of America

Leslie Dinauer is currently the Executive Director of the Rhetoric Society of America, the largest membership organization of scholars and professionals interested in advancing the field of rhetoric in a variety of contexts. In this capacity, Dinauer leads the Board of Directors, volunteers, and vendors to administer RSA’s mission, manage its finances, pursue its strategic goals, and attend to the general well-being of the organization and its members. She holds primary responsibility for all operational and fiduciary matters. Prior to joining RSA, Dinauer was managing principal of HawDin Solutions where she brought her expertise to help organizations create, launch, manage, and evaluate comprehensive programs focused on the unique needs of online learners. Dinauer provided strategic yet practical guidance to organizations who were just beginning to move programs online as well as those who are seeking to expand, particularly during periods of covid online learning. Additionally, Dinauer led Doctor of Business Administration programs at University of Maryland Global Campus for nearly 20 years. Her demonstrated talent in devising innovative learning experiences has continually been enhanced by her strengths in strategic planning, policy design and team enablement. Dinauer has also served as the Chair of the University of Wisconsin Union Association.
