Kallan Benjamin is a PhD student in Film in the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her M.A. in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California. Her research centers on the intersection of gender and labor in screenwriting history, with a particular focus on the early sound era.
