You’ve worked hard, played hard, and studied harder. You’ve trekked across the Humanities bridge on icy mornings, heading for lectures in 4070. You’ve turned in your final papers and taken your final exams. It’s time to say goodbye to friends, faculty, and beautiful Vilas Hall. Hooray! You’re graduating!
Your degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison places you at the forefront of graduates around the world. We’re proud to have had you as Comm Arts majors, and look forward to hearing about your accomplishments as you move forward. You join a Comm Arts alumni network more than 6000 strong – a great group to stay connected with.
Please keep in touch. If you haven’t already done so, join us on Facebook and on LinkedIn. Check out the Alumni pages on the Comm Arts website, and send us updates – we’ll be posting a lot of new ones this summer, so take a look at what your friends are up to as well. We hope you’ll consider giving back to the department some day, as so many generous alumni have done. You can make a difference.
Hats off to you, class of 2013! On behalf of all our faculty and staff, I wish you all the best.
Michele Hilmes, Professor and Chair
