Runhua received her B.A. (2021) in Journalism from Wuhan University and M.A. (2024) in Communication from Renmin University of China. Her research interest focuses on emotions, relationships, and communication technologies. She seeks to better understand how social media shapes the expression of emotions, self-presentation, and interpersonal relationships. She is also curious about human-technology relationships, particularly people’s parasocial relationships and emotional connections with computer-generated characters.
