Darby Winchel

Darby is a 2018 alumna of UW–Madison, with degrees in Journalism (Reporting) and Gender and Women’s Studies. Before SuccessWorks, Darby served as UW–Madison’s inaugural Communications Manager for New Students, stewarding major campus programs including SOAR and Wisconsin Welcome. She also possesses several years of advertising experience, working as a copywriter for both Hiebing and The Evoke Agency. She believes in taking a holistic approach to student success, with career development being a key source of momentum for greater joy and sense of purpose throughout a student’s lifetime. Beyond her work, Darby enjoys archery, campfires, and – if she’s lucky – turning a few pages in a crisp, new book.
