Anya (AKA Anya Ekaterina) is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Film area of the Communication Arts Department. Her doctoral minor in History focuses on the history of childhood, supporting her research on aesthetics, essay films, feminist historiography, and transnational child-centric cinema. She has developed courses on global film history with particular focuses on overlooked filmmakers and modes of production. She supports students interested in careers in Communication Arts as a Career Advisor at SuccessWorks.
