My research interests include queer cinema, cognitive film theory, parametric form in film, and French cinema. Currently, I am researching to what extent queer studies and cognitive film theory might be meaningfully brought into conversation with each other. I draw upon cognitive approaches of neoformalism and queer formalism in literary studies, examining the cinema of Gregg Araki as a case study.
