Biography
Yiran received her BA in Journalism and Communication from Macau University of Science and Technology in 2023. She received her first master degree in Journalism from the University of Hong Kong in 2024 and her second research master degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Amsterdam in 2026. Her research interests are grounded in digital media, HCI, and feminist media effects studies. She aims to fight against gendered violence and investigate how feminist narrative practices on digital platforms challenge and negotiate with dominant patriarchal norms, and how these mediated practices shape individuals’ everyday perceptions and behaviors regarding gendered power relations.
