Location: New York, New York
Type: Internship
Apply By: Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 at 10:00 am
More Details:

Description:

The Daily Show is looking for eager and adaptable candidates for the fall semester.

Duties:

This is a production-focused opportunity where interns will learn the inner workings of a legacy late-night show. Each intern will work directly with various departments to learn how the show is made from the ground up each day.

Those departments include, but are not limited to, Audience, Talent, Post-Production and Field. They rely heavily on their interns and consider them to be the backbone of production, which is why it’s important that interns are both exited to be there and understand that even though this is a comedy show, it is a serious job.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be continuing UW-Madison Communication Arts majors with junior or senior standing.
  • Applicants must be legally able to work in the United States.

Pay: This is a paid internship.

Hours: Interns work a minimum of 2 days per week, at least 10 hour days.

Location: New York, New York

Deadline: Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 at 10:00 am

Requested Application Materials:

As part of the application, you’ll asked to respond to the following:

  1. Tell me about yourself.
  2. Why would you like to intern with The Daily Show?

You’ll also be asked to upload your cover letter and resume as a single pdf file. The file name should include your name and the internship opportunity. Example: Bucky Badger Daily Show. Address your cover letter to Amir Combs, Production Coordinator, and Hailee Williams, Assistant Production Coordinator.
