I am Senior Director at Best Buy's Corporate HQ in the Twin Cities. I lead Yellow Tag Productions, a team that supports Best Buy's business strategy by creating and producing communications that engage and activate our employees, customers, shareholders and vendors. From concept through completion we produce employee videos and live events, broadcast TV commercials and web videos.

I am a partner in an online publishing company that serves the enterprise software development community. We have a site InfoQ.com which has over 650K unique visitors a month. The content on the site is written by practioners (i.e. enterprise software developers) and is free. We have sites in China, Brazil and Japan, written in the native languages of these countries (infoq.com/cn, infoq.com/br and infoq.com/jp). We also host seven conferences worldwide that serve the same community. QCon runs in London, San Francisco, New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo and Sao Paulo. Our company, C4Media Inc. was founded seven years ago. We have a corporate office in Toronto, but I am located in the Silicon Valley (Cupertino). We have have 25 people working for us worldwide.

After four years in local news, I've made the switch to public media...in Gopher country. I now work as a Production Assistant at Twin Cities PBS and I love it. I mainly work on TPT's public affairs show "Almanac," but I've recently been able to work on other projects at the station. Also, I just won my first Upper Midwest Regional Emmy for my role as the Associate Director of "Almanac at the Capitol."

I am a film editor for a company that creates movie trailers and movie commercials. Located in Hollywood, Seismic Productions is a fixture of the film marketing industry, and I am one of ten editors on staff creating our trailers and TV spots. Some the films I've help promote include Les Miserables, 21 Jump Street, Bad Teacher, Horrible Bosses, Contagion, and Crazy Stupid Love. It all stems from my Comm Arts education, and I use Final Cut Pro every day.

I have also been published in several national trade publications. Following graduation, I worked at television stations in Milwaukee, Peoria and Cincinnati in promotion and marketing. I even did weekend voice over announcing in Peoria. In 1972, I left broadcasting and became a regional manager for TV Guide magazine with two years in Indianapolis and nine in Rochester, N.Y. Since things were changing inside the magazine in 1983, I left for Chicago and a new job with the printing giant RR Donnelley where I'm selling printing, distribution and digital services to magazine publishers. I'm married to Conni with children Joel, Amy and Dana, and five grandchildren We still maintain my boyhood home in Millston, Wisc. for vacations and weekends. My activities include a social service agency's board membership, volunteering at church, bicycling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, golf and woodworking.
