DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES
I am Secretary for the Graduate Program and one of two Timetable representatives for this department.

I answer questions about our program of studies and the specialties of our faculty, mail out printed information and application forms, and process the incoming applications of students wishing to get an advanced degree at Wisconsin. For the graduate students currently enrolled, I make sure they are in compliance with Grad School rules and regulations and help sort out any problems they may have. I gather and assemble statistics about students' progress toward their degree when decisions are made for granting teaching assistantships and other awards. As a Timetable representative, along with Mary Rossa who assists the undergraduates, I work in PeopleSoft to schedule the Com Arts classes offered each semester.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
In my personal life, I recently retired from teaching Jazzercise aerobics classes in which I had been either a student or instructor for 19 years. I now enjoy other non-impact forms of exercise since I find it the best way to deal with stress. I have no pets or children, but am happily partnered with a rhetoric graduate I met when I first came to work for Com Arts 26 years ago. I love to read and cook, which is another reason I keep exercising.
