PhD Candidate Vincent Bohlinger Receives Fulbright-Hays Fellowship
Vincent Bohlinger has received a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship to undertake research in Moscow, Russia on his dissertation, titled 'Compromising Kino: the Development of Soviet Socialist Realist Film Style.' He will be there until next August examining documents and films at the Film Museum, RGALI (the Russian National Archive of Literature and Art), and Gosfilmofond (the Russian film archive). He is hoping that his years in Madison have prepared him well for the Moscow winter.

Honorable Mention to Curtin
Michael Curtin's paper, "Murdoch's Dilemma, or What's the Price of TV in China?" won honorable mention in the faculty paper competition at an October conference entitled, "Globalfusion: Reconsidering Globalization and Communication." Sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin, the conference drew more than 150 participants from around the world.

Zaeske Honored by the University
Professor Zaeske was recently selected by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Committee on Distinguished Teaching Awards to receive a Distinguished Teaching Award!
